Had the chance to catch up on some top Uk action recently. We had a pretty bad June by all accounts as i was coaching in Rhodes at this time. But July has stepped up and given us heaps of wind, some sun and some good old english rain : )
Some weekends even saw 3 days in a row and I bet there were some pretty broken people at work on the Monday. Even when the waves are small it is still great to throw some down some big forwards and backies and seek out the odd wave smack and still enjoy all the crashes that will inevitably come out of this
In these pics I am using the new RRD FSW 96 and it was ripping, it is faster, looser and jumps higher than the previous years RRD FSW’S which majored on control, smooth sailing and sweet carves. It was 4.2 weather but on my 4.7 i just cranked on the downhaul until the inside swoosh was loose and then fired on the outhaul. The top end of the panther is just amazing and you must try it out rather than changing down sometimes.
I am off to Punta San Carlos on August 14th for a shoot and my first wave clinic there – can’t wait ..
I will get you some pics and a report from there. Live life with passion : )
