Spring is the air and I like it. Having previously experienced the cold temps of March a warm day now feels like summer and the shedding of rubber feels mighty fine, steady on now, we are talking boots and hoods! We have had some good wind and I have seen lots of happy faces on the water and the best thing about European wind is that you are just so damn happy to get it when you do.
I have just returned from a great trip to El Tur, Egypt, which has a huge variety of waterstates and plenty of that all important wind. The incessant Egyptian hairdryer whips up some great swell and the nearby wave beach has awesome cross-on wavesailing, pretty unique in Egypt!
It is National Windsurf week here in the UK from May 3 – 11, lots of events, free lessons and a large amount of love for our great sport is going down. Therefore please get involved in enticing a friend, family member or partner to learn or even get back into the great sport of windsurfing.
I am looking forward to keeping you posted on all apsects of ocean reallignment – enjoy the blog.
