My coaching tour for 2010 has kicked off in style, after a busy month or so in the office it was off to El Tur for my first clinic of the year and it was very international in feel. Thanks to my Austrian, 2 Dutch, 4 Irish and 6 British peops for making it such a fab week and for working so hard.
We had about 4 days of planing and 2 of light wind training which was perfect. First gybes were made, stances got faster but sorry boys the girls improved the most : )
The group were loving the RRD boards and Ezzy sails. They had a few spins on my new Panther 2 and Freeride 4 and were amazed by the lightness, stability and huge wind range. The crew spent a lot of time on the bigger RRD FSWS like the 111 and 120 which gave them a huge wind range and were the perfect platform to learn or perfect their gybes on. When the winds got lighter people were training on the evolutions or take the Fire Race for a spin with a big sail.
Thanks to www.oceansource.net for all the toys and to Phil, Dan and Danielle for being excellent hosts and for getting me some of the great pics you can see right here.
PS If you want to catch some of my technique articles then please check out the Boards mag site.
I have the last few places available in Rhodes this June, and in Mauritius on Sept 22nd.
