“Please find attached three pics of me with my Infinity and my GPS results for my two fastest days.

Name: Luca Falso
Nationality: Italian living in The Netherlands
Age: 38
Height/Weight: 1.75m/86 kg
Home spot: Oostvornse meer
Equipment: Tabou Manta and Ezzy sails (since 2006)

Windsurfing since 1985: mainly freestyle and freeride; slalom since one year and speed since one month.

Session June 17th
Conditions: Wind ZW 25-30 knots, hard chop Equipment: Tabou Manta TE 69, Select SL7 35, Ezzy Cheetah 6.0
Max speed 31.2 knts (see GPS results)

Description: the board was way too big due to the nasty hard chop but it was the smallest one I had; I rigged the sail with 2 cm downhaul beyond the maximum recommended setting and the outhaul at the maximum:  I was overpowered but always nicely in control, the sail felt very light, friendly and controllable; I have not missed one jibe and I closed a nice and fast one hand 360.

Session June 23rd
Conditions: Wind ZW 22-25 knots, choppy Equipment: Tabou Manta TE 69, Select SL7 39, Ezzy Infinity 7.0 2011
Max speed 32.3 knts (see GPS results)

Description: I was overpowered but my goal was to go faster than my previous session; I did my fastest run at the very beginning when I set the downhaul 2 cm beyond the maximum recommended setting and the outhaul at the maximum; later I pulled the downhaul 2.5 cm more but I lost 2.5 knts of speed as the sail was over downhauled; it was very hard work but worth! “
