Ezzy Sails Proud Showing on the AWT Tour
For Immediate Release:
Maui, Hawaii- The first year of the American Windsurfing Tour ended with an amazing final event at the world famous Hookipa Beach Park. Thousands were on hand to see the action from around the globe. The American Windsurfing Tour took place in 4 locations, starting off in Santa Cruz, California, then to Pistol River, Oregon, onward to Punta San Carlos in Baja California, and onward to the final at Hookipa.
For the Expert Division, Ezzy riders Kevin Pritchard and Graham Ezzy took second and third proving once again that the Ezzy Wave Panthers are built to rip in all conditions around the Globe.
“This was a fun year for me. I haven’t been able to spend this much time in the USA for quite some time. Heck I even was able to celebrate 4th of July in the US for the first time in almost 20 years. The AWT was great, we had waves and wind at every event, and I think we showcased the sport very well. To have events in Maui and Baja, is something that is really special to me and I am stoked to be part of it. I think it is fun for everyone and a great thing for the sport of Windsurfing. All in all I am pretty stoked!” said Kevin Pritchard.
“I had fun, I missed out on Santa Cruz because I was still in school at Princeton, but got to go to the last three events. Winning in Baja was really special to me and was really fun down there. I was pretty bummed on my performance on Maui, but I am really looking forward to next season. This year will be my first year without going to school and I really want to put some efforts into training and making some new moves.” said Graham Ezzy.
For the Women, Anne Marie Reichman, jumped on her new Ezzy Panther and had a great time sailing her way to second place in the Maui Makani Classic. “This was my first event on the my new Ezzy Sails. They worked out great! So much control and power all the same. I am super stoked!” said Anne-Marie. “It was a great experience having a sail that I can rig with such a broad range. It makes it great in competing where the wind will be lighter and stronger through out the day”
